ISA Board Certified Master Arborist® OH-5177B
The ISA Board Certified Master Arborist® credential is the highest level of certification offered by ISA. This credential recognizes ISA Certified Arborists® who have reached the pinnacle of their profession. In addition to passing an extensive scenario-based exam, candidates must abide by a Code of Ethics, which ensures quality of work. Fewer than two percent of all ISA Certified Arborists® currently hold this certification.
Ronald Rothhaas is the Principal Owner and Manager of Arbor Doctor LLC, specializing in sustainable plant health care, tree preservation, and landscaping. He got his start in horticulture by joining his community tree board while in high school.
Ron is the primary author of the Plant Health Care Newsletter published by the Ohio Green Industry Association for green industry professionals around the state.
He is an alumnus of The Ohio State University and Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Ron is a member of the International Society of Arboriculture and has earned the ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification. Ron is also a member of the Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky ISA Chapters and the American Society of Consulting Arborists and has earned the ASCA Tree and Plant Appraisal Qualification.
He is a member of the Professional Grounds Management Society and At Work On Purpose. Arbor Doctor LLC holds memberships in the National Association of Landscape Professionals and the Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association.
Ron is a frequent guest on In The Garden With Ron Wilson on 55WKRC and iHeart Radio nationwide where he shares his knowledge of trees, horticulture, and his other favorite topic, meteorology. Ron has been married for 28 years and has two adopted daughters, an adopted son, and an adopted dog. He lives in Green Township on the west side of Cincinnati but has clients throughout the Cincinnati metro area.
In his spare time Ron is active in Westwood Citizens On Patrol, Cincinnati Police Department, District 3, and is one of only 13 volunteer cooperative weather observers in the 88 county National Weather Service Wilmington Forecast Office area of responsibility.
