Thunderstorms this afternoon. Severe weather possible along with scattered flooding.

Later this afternoon, thunderstorms will develop with the potential for locally damaging winds and heavy rain. Some thunderstorms may linger into the evening hours. This does not look like a widespread outbreak and there may be locations which recieve no rain while other areas get hit hard. Gusty to damaging winds are the primary threat along with heavy rainfall. Some isolated flooding will also be possible.

Additionally, the combination of temperatures around 90 degrees and dewpoints in the lower 70s will result in maximum heat index values in the mid to upper 90s today.
